Whether AUD or SBD this show contains one of the all time greatest ever BIRDSONGS.

(rest of the show is pretty hot, too)

Without hesitation I put this show as top 5 for 1973. It's simply that good. Do people on here, on average, put 11/11 as top 5 for 1973 as well? It's really good, one of my Dark Star > MLBJ favorites, but I don't think it's phenomenal.

Davey? I missed that one.

Now come on Cliff. I know you pretty much hate AUD's but you have to admit this is a pretty enjoyable one.

To be fair, JOTS, this one will sound fantastic from any source. And though I will never agree, I'll bet many folks here prefer the matrix. In fact, due to the "patch-work" nature of the source, this is a perfect matrix, no?

Streaming the Birdsong right now, outdoors in the late afternoon sunshine. And if it sounded better than the SBD I'd never admit it...

I have the sbd and the aud. I thought about checking out the matrix but after sampling it I concluded that I still like the AUD better. Plus they had to turn down the levels on the matrix because the sbd is much lower than the aud for some reason. It's real noticable to me on gentle tracks like Black Peter, which incidently was the whole reason I put this show on last night. yes I know the bird Song and Other One are the highlights but I had a hankerin for Black Peter. Also, this show has probably my all time favorite He's Gone. You're right this show sounds great no matter what. It pretty much has it all I think, huge setlist, great tunes, nice Phil led jam, and they all sound great. I love it when the mix is so you can distinctly hear what everyones playing.
